Description

KLS7275D Sine Wave BLDC Controller, 24V-72V, 500A

• Motor current limit, 30 second boost: 500A.

• Motor current limit, continuous: 200A.

Kelly KLS programmable motor controllers provide efficient, smooth and quiet control of electric motorcycles, golf carts and road carts; as well as industrial motor control. KLS controllers are mainly designed to solve noise problems when using BLDC motor.

Compared with the traditional trapezoidal wave control technology, this technology based on sine wave excitation technology is to reduce the operation noise and 1/3 switching loss, which is well suited to the noise reduction and efficiency requirements of brushless DC motor applications. It uses high power MOSFETs, SVPWM and FOC to achieve efficiency up to 99% in most cases. A powerful microprocessor provides comprehensive and precise control of the controllers. It also allows users to quickly and easily configure settings, run tests, and retrieve diagnostic information.

KLS-D is currently being discontinued. Other KLS models are recommended for new customers.

Kelly KLS-D Sine Wave Brushless DC Motor Controller

KLS controller must reduce BLDC motor noise, especially for hub motor. The BLDC motor must be based on 3 Hall sensors. Customers can program the KLS controller on PC or Android APP. You may need a Z-TEK USB-RS232 cable to program the controller if you want to program the controller on an Android tablet.

Common Features:
(1) Advanced fault detection and protection. Customers can also read the error code in the software on PC or Android tablet.
(2) Monitor battery voltage. It will stop running if the battery voltage is too high and will gradually reduce motor drive power as the battery voltage drops until it cuts out completely at the "Low Battery Voltage" setting.
(3) Built-in current loop and anti overcurrent.
(4) Configurable motor protection temperature range.
(5) Current reduction at low and high temperature to protect battery and controller. The current starts to decrease at case temperature of 90℃, cut off at 100℃.
(6) The controller monitors the battery charging voltage during deceleration.
(7) The maximum reverse speed and forward speed can be set between 20% and 100 % respectively and separately.
(8) The 4-pin RS232 connector and Z-TEK USB-RS232 cable allows configuration, programming and software updates using a tablet, which should now be based on Android OS. People can do the same with PC software using a standard USB-RS232 cable instead.
(9) Provide +5V and +12V output to power various types of Hall sensors.
(10) 5 switch inputs that are activated by connecting to 12V. Default throttle switch, brake switch, reversing switch, front switch and boost switch.
(11) 2 x 0-5V analog inputs, default set to throttle input and motor temperature input
(12 ) Copy the signal of one of the Hall sensors.
(13) Configurable boost switch. Enables the maximum power output achievable when the switch is turned on.
(14) The 12V brake switch input is used on a different port than the motor temperature sensor. In the latest version, you can use the functions of the brake switch and the engine temperature sensor at the same time. Pin 25 is the 12V brake switch input port. Pin 1 is the motor temperature sensor input. port.
(15) Optional throttle joystick. Biosymmetrical 0-5V signal for forward and reverse.
(16) Configurable motor thermal detection and protection with recommended KTY84-130 or KTY84-150 thermistor.
(17) 3 hall position sensor inputs. Open manifold, tighten provided.
(18) Analog brake regeneration mode. This regeneration mode no longer requires a brake switch to support. Only available in software version 0106. KLS controller cannot support flashing.
(19) Improved brake regen function. New ABS technology provides powerful and smooth regeneration. Regeneration can occur at any speed up to zero speed.
(20) The KLS-D controller has included a fuse and a shunt on the case.
(21) Cruise control.
(22) KLS-D can support the bus function CAN broadcast type. It is 250 Kbps. The CAN bus is not included in the KLS-D controller by default.
Attention! Regeneration is not a safe feature. Normally you can use mechanical brake.

Features:
1) Intelligence with powerful microprocessor.
2) Synchronous rectification, ultra-low drop, fast SVPWM and FOC to achieve very high efficiency.
3) Electronic reverse.
4) Voltage control on 3 phases of motor, bus and power supply.
5) Voltage control on voltage source 12V and 5V.
The controller can do auto_Identification angle for different degrees of hall sensors.
17) Configurable high pedal protection: the controller will not work if high gas is detected at power-up.
18) Current multiply: take less current from the battery, output more current to motor.
19) Easy to install: 3-wire potentiometer will work.
20) Standard PC/Laptop for programming. There is another choice for programming the KLS controller. Standard Android tablet for programming. A Z-TEK USB TO RS232 cable is required to connect the controller to the tablet application. ,
21) User program provided. Easy to use. No cost to customers.
22) Support for motors with any number of poles.
23) Standard up to 70000 rpm. (Electrical revolutions = mechanical revolutions * motor pole pairs; motor pole pairs = motor poles / 2).

Main Features:
• Operating frequency: 20 kHz.
• Standby current batteries: <0.5 mA.
• 5 V or 12 V sensor supply current: 40 mA.
• Controller supply voltage range: PWR, 18 V to 90 V for controllers with a nominal voltage not exceeding 72 V.
• Supply current, PWR, 30mA typical.
• Configurable battery voltage range, B+. Maximum operating range: 18 V to 1.25 * Nominal voltage.
• Standard throttle input: 0-5 Volts (3-wire resistive resistor), 1-4 Volts (active hall damper).
• Throttle input: 0-5 volts.
