Description

Sine wave controller for brushless motor KLS6035S, 24V-60V, 350A

DESCRIPTION

The KLS controller should reduce the noise of the BLDC motor, especially for the hub motor. The BLDC motor should be based on 3 Hall sensors. Customers can program the KLS controller with PC software or Android APP. You may need a Z-TEK USB to RS232 cable to program the controller if you want to program the controller on an Android Tablet.

Common Functions:

(1) Extended diagnostics and protection. An LED flashing pattern indicates error sources. Customers can read the error code in PC software or Android tablet.

(2) Battery voltage control. It will stop running if the battery voltage is too high, and it will gradually reduce engine power when the battery voltage drops until it shuts off completely at the "Low Battery Voltage" setting.

(3) Built-in top and bottom current protection.

(4) Adjustable motor temperature protection range.

(5) Reduce current at low temperature and high temperature to protect battery and controller. The current starts to decrease at case temperature of 90℃, turning off at 100℃.

(6) The controller continues to monitor the battery charging voltage during regenerative braking.

(7) The maximum reverse speed and forward speed can be set between 20% and 100% respectively and separately.

(8) 4-pin RS232 port connector and USB-RS-232 Z-TEK cable allows configure, program and update software using a tablet, which must be on the Android OS. People can do the same on PC software using a standard USB to RS232 cable.

(9) Provide +5 volt and +12 volt output to power various types of hall effect sensors.

(10) 5 switch inputs that are activated when connected to 12V. By default, the throttle/grip switch, brake switch, reverse switch, front switch and boost switch.

(11) 2 analog inputs 0-5V, which by default have input from the stick/gas pedal, and an input signal from the engine temperature

(12) Copies the signal from one of the Hall sensors.

(13) Adjustable boost switch. Provides maximum power output when the switch is on.

(14) The 12V brake switch input is used in different ports from the engine temperature sensor. You can use both brake switch and engine temperature sensor functions at the same time in the latest version. Pin 25 - 12V brake input port. Pin1 - Engine temperature sensor input port.

(15) Optional throttle-joystick knob. Bi-symmetrical 0-5V signal for both forward and reverse.

(16) Configurable motor overtemperature detection and protection with recommended thermistor (temperature sensor) KTY84-130 or KTY84-150.

(17) Sensor input from 3 position Hall sensor. Open collector, in case of overvoltage.

(18) Analog regenerative braking mode. This regen mode does not require any additional brake switch. Only available from software version 0106. KLS controller cannot support re-flashing.

(19) Advanced regenerative braking function. New ABS technology ensures powerful and smooth recuperation. Regeneration can take place from any speed up to zero speed.

Features:

current reduction, warning and shutdown at configurable high and low voltage supply voltage.

14) Robust aluminum housing for maximum heat dissipation and harsh environments.

15) Robust high current current terminals and rugged aviation connectors for small signal.

16) Thermal protection: current cut, warning and high temperature shutdown.

17) Configurable 60 degree or 120 degree Hall position sensors. The controller can perform automatic angle identification for different angles of the Hall sensors.

18) Adjustable pedal high voltage protection: the controller will not work if a high level from the stick / gas pedal is detected when turned on.

19) Current gain: reduce battery current, output more current to motor.

20) Easy installation: 3-wire potentiometer will work.

21) Standard PC/Laptop for programming. There is another choice for customers to program the KLS controller. Standard Android tablet for programming. You need to connect a USB to RS-232 Z-TEK cable to connect to the application program in the tablet PC,

22) The user program is provided. Easy to use. No cost to customers.

23) Supports motors with any number of poles.

24) Up to 70,000 standard electrical rpm. (Electrical revolutions = mechanical revolutions * motor pole pairs. Motor pole pairs = motor poles / 2).

Key Features:

• Operation frequency: 20 kHz.

• Standby battery current: <0.5 mA.

• Sensor supply current 5 V or 12 V: 40 mA.

• The controller supports voltage range: PWR, 18 V to 90 V for controllers rated or less than 72 V.

• Current power supply, PWR, 30mA.

• Configurable battery voltage range, B+. Maximum operating range: 18V to 1.25 * Nominal voltage.

•Standard throttle/pedal input: 0-5 volts. 3-wire resistance potentiometer can be used), 1-4 volts (for Hall sensors from the stick / gas pedal).

• Stick / gas pedal input: 0-5 V. Can use a 3-wire potentiometer for receiving a 0-5 V signal.
