Description

KAC6040D KAC-D series controller for AC induction motors 24V-60V, 400A

It's better if customers can provide motor parameters so that we can adjust the controller for the motor before shipping. We need the following motor parameters: Rated AC or DC voltage. For example, 42 VAC = 60 VDC.

  • Rated power
  • Rated speed (rpm)
  • Rated frequency
  • < span style="font-size:14px;">Number of fields
  • Dual channel A/B encoder pulses

Common functions:

(1) Advanced fault detection and protection. A flashing LED indicates sources of faults. Customers can also read the error code or message in PC software or Android app.

(6) The controller monitors the battery charging voltage during regenerative braking, gradually reducing the current as the battery voltage rises, and then completely turning off regeneration when the voltage gets too high.

(7) The maximum reverse speed and forward speed can be set between 20% and 100% respectively and separately.

(8) 4-pin RS232 converter connector and USB-RS232 cable allows you to configure, program and update software using your tablet based on Android OS. People can do the same operation and setting on PC software, using a standard USB port for RS232. instead of this. (It is recommended to use Kelly's USB-RS232 cable directly)

(9) Provide +5V and +12V output to power sensors of various types, including an efficient hall choke or pedal.

(10) 4 switch inputs that are activated by connecting to +12V. Default switches are forward, throttle, brake switch and reversing switch.

(11) 2 analog 0-5V inputs that are used by default for throttle input and engine temperature.

(12) Configurable motor overheat detection and protection with recommended KTY84-130 / 150 thermistor.

(13) Dual channel input A/B encoder to support speed control.

(14) The controller's power supply matches the standard battery voltage range.

Warning!: Regeneration has a braking effect, but does not replace the function of a mechanical brake. A mechanical brake is needed to stop your vehicle. Regeneration is NOT a safety feature! The controller may stop regeneration without warning to protect itself or the battery (but it won't protect you!).

Features

(1) A smart controller with a powerful microprocessor.

(2) Synchronous rectification, ultra-low dropout, and fast SVPWM and FOC for very high efficiency.

(3) Electronic reverse.

(4) Voltage monitoring on 3 motor phases, busbar and power supply.

(5) Voltage control on a 12V and 5V voltage source.

(6) Current state on all 3 motor phases.

(7) current control loop.

(8) Hardware overcurrent protection.

(9) Hardware surge protection.

(10) Configurable limit for motor current and battery current.

(11) Low EMC.

(12) Battery protection: current limit, warning and shutdown at configurable high and low battery voltage.

(13) Friendly high current terminals and waterproof connectors for weak signal.

(14) Thermal protection: current cut, warning and high temperature shutdown.

(15) Decrease based on deceleration speed when brake switch is activated.

(16) Reduce speed based on braking speed when reversing. Adjustable reverse boost function.

< span style="font-size:14px;">(17) Support three braking modes: release throttle braking, brake switch braking or reverse braking, neutral braking. Adjustable deceleration time and brake release time in the configuration program. It is possible to program the amount of regeneration in the user program for different regeneration modes.

(18) Configurable High Pedal Protection: The controller will not operate if high throttle is detected at power up.

(19) Multiply current: take less current from battery, output more current to motor.

(20) Easy to install: 3-wire potentiometer can work.

(21) Standard PC/laptop for programming. There is another choice for customers to program the KAC-S controller. Standard Android tablet for programming. A Z-TEK USB-RS232 cable is required to connect the controller to the application. tablet program.

(22) Custom program provided. Easy to use. The user program can be downloaded from our website for free.
